Do you need a Comprehensive Car Insurance?
A lot of times, my blog readers ask me if they need Comprehensive Car Insurance. So, I decided to write a post about Comprehensive Car Insurance and its benefits.
Comprehensive Car Insurance covers your vehicle in case of any mishap that is not related to a collision. It covers floods, storms, damage due to hail. It also includes any damage due to theft, vandalism and fire. It pays for the repair or replacement of the car based on the cash value.
Like any other car insurance, there are different levels of comprehensive insurance that can be purchased.
Before making up your mind about buying Comprehensive Car Insurance, you need to take in to account your vehicle’s condition & value (make, model, wear & tear). If you have paid for the car and can easily replace the car in case of any mishap then comprehensive insurance may not be of much use. Also, if you have financed the car and are involved in any mishap then you may find yourself with a repair bill or without car in case you don’t have a Comprehensive Car Insurance. In such cases comprehensive insurance is advised.
Comprehensive insurance is best suited to individuals with a valuable car or who may be hard pressed to buy a new car or pay up hefty repair bills.
